Our recent 10x10 Celebration was a powerful reminder of just how far the Innovation District has come—and the momentum that continues to carry us forward. The evening brought together partners and community members to reflect on a decade of transformative investment, bold ideas, and meaningful collaboration. From groundbreaking research facilities to vibrant new spaces for technology entrepreneurship, the progress we celebrated is a testament to the shared vision that defines this District.
But beyond the milestones, the anniversary event captured something even more important: the people. The innovators and champions who have shaped this community and continue to push its boundaries. What stood out most for me was the energy in the room—the conversations sparked, new ideas taking shape, and collaborations beginning in real time. That exchange of ideas is the true engine of the District. It’s what makes this community not just successful but dynamic, forward-looking, and deeply impactful.
As we look to the future, we’re excited to welcome new leaders who will help guide that next chapter. Please join us in welcoming Christine Wooley, our newest member of the Innovation District Board of Directors and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Eckerd College. The District has partnered with Eckerd College since our earliest days and we are excited to have Christine's expertise helping to guide the District's efforts in the educational ecosystem.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Jack Feldman to our team. As our newest staff member, Jack brings energy and fresh insight that will strengthen our work. He recently graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies. Jack will manage and grow our Maritime and Defense Technology Hub community and assist with implementing the District master plan.
With a strong foundation behind us and new voices joining the effort, we’re energized for what’s ahead.
