State of Science and Innovation

The St. Petersburg Innovation District is home to scientists, technologists, and doctors—leaders in their fields on a global scale, yet often unknown locally. They are working on groundbreaking solutions: tackling childhood illnesses, mapping the ocean, addressing climate change, and developing cutting-edge technologies.

Each year, the District hosts an event to showcase these innovators and their stories. This fast-paced, high-energy series of brief presentations is designed to spark curiosity and highlight the incredible work happening right here in St. Petersburg. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or someone whose skills peak at figuring out a new phone, this event promises to inspire and inform.

This year, you’ll hear exciting ideas on maritime prosperity zones, Johns Hopkins Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute research, SubUAS drone technology, AI in journalism, and much more. Don’t miss the chance to see innovation in action and discover something new about our city.
