This session builds on a December 2025 World Ocean Council “Blue Sparks” webinar by partners and core developers to the scorecard, the Waterfront Alliance and Fugro. It is also a follow up to the global launch of the coastal resilience scorecard, authored by the UN-supported private sector initiative ARISE-US, the Waterfront Alliance, Fugro, and Global Development College, in Barcelona at the World Ocean Council’s 2025 Sustainable Ocean Summit, part of the Blue Sparks series of announcements.
What you can expect:
Hosted by World Ocean Council and the partners to The Continuum, the involved Coastal Resilience Scorecard team members will showcase the Scorecard and then transition into an interactive Q & A and workshop to discuss the intended design and implementation uses, examining interconnected acute shocks and chronic stresses. We will explore how technology is supporting innovative design and multi-stakeholder decision-making between public and private financial, community and environmental interests simultaneously. Case studies will provide practical insights into coastal restoration and resilience efforts worldwide, as well as serve as starters for workshop discussion. This workshop will explore how cities, corporations, startups and investors can advance their resilience planning and connect thematic and sectoral goals for deeper impact and more resilient coastlines and communities through blue, green and gray infrastructure.

Please plan to arrive promptly at 9:00 AM to allow for networking time and registration. At the conclusion, there will be the opportunity to continue the conversation over lunch for those that are interested.
