The St. Pete Innovation District is bringing back its podcast—and with it, a fresh wave of stories from the heart of St. Petersburg’s innovation ecosystem. The podcast will feature interviews with scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who are driving innovation in marine science, life science, technology, and more.
During our first series (2019-21) we dived deep into topics including fake grouper, marine viruses, forensics, and healthcare innovation. We will start the podcast relaunch with a six-part series highlighting the Innovation District itself. These episodes will offer listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the District origins, early days of the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub, how master planning/zoning will influence the next phase, and more.
We’ve grown so much as a district and as a community since our early episodes. As we enter our 10th year, it is the perfect moment to restart the conversation and shine a light on the incredible work unfolding around us.
