Welcome Aboard, Director Kahle

We are pleased to hear of the appointment of Captain Michael Kahle as Director of the Florida Institute of Oceanography. Captain Kahle has long been a valued friend of the District, and we are delighted to see this relationship continue to grow. We wish him and the entire FIO team every success under his leadership.

Captain Kahle brings more than 25 years of leadership and strategic experience. He recently served as Sector Commander for the United States Coast Guard, Sector St. Petersburg, where he demonstrated an exceptional commitment to public service, operational excellence, and collaboration.
