About This Event

Housing is a critically important issue in Pinellas County. It is an aspect of our community with some of the most profound inequities with damaging impacts on health and well-being. To ground the community in solid data within a health equity framework, we’re releasing a county-wide report, “Housing as Home: A Pathway to Health Equity,” which aims to focus and fuel housing as a priority across the county. Please join us for a community briefing on the report and a discussion with a panel of advocates, funders and distinguished national housing experts.

  • Fred Karnas, Senior Fellow, Kresge Foundation
  • Diane Yentel, President and CEO, National Low Income Housing Coalition
  • Peggy Bailey, Director of the Health Integration Project, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

Event participants will be asked to share ideas and recommendations for achieving better housing outcomes for Pinellas County residents. We believe this will inspire the community as a whole to solve the housing crisis and recognize its crucial role in ending differences in health in our county.Housing as Home: A Pathway to Health EquityThursday, Sept. 27, 2018St. Petersburg Marriott Clearwater12600 Roosevelt Blvd NSt. Petersburg, FL 33716Breakfast & networking, 8-8:30 a.m. (Optional)Lecture and discussion, 8:30-10:30 a.m.Free and open to the public, but registration is required.
