Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a nonprofit marine rescue center dedicated to the rehabilitation, release, and long-term care of dolphins, sea turtles, otters, and other marine animals. Unlike traditional aquariums, its primary mission is marine life rescue, research, conservation, and public education. The organization gained international recognition through the rescue of Winter the dolphin, whose story inspired the films Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2.
