Marine Exploration Center is the successor to the historic Pier Aquarium, continuing a marine education presence on the St. Pete waterfront while also operating outreach programs throughout the Tampa Bay region. In addition to its mobile aquarium experiences, the organization maintains exhibits and educational programming at the St. Pete Pier, giving visitors hands-on opportunities to learn about local marine life and coastal ecosystems. Its work bridges public education, conservation awareness, and community engagement, helping connect residents and visitors to Tampa Bay’s marine environment through both on-site and traveling programs.
