Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council is the oldest regional planning council in Florida and serves as a collaborative forum for local governments across the Tampa Bay region. The organization works on issues that cross jurisdictional boundaries, including transportation, economic development, resiliency, emergency preparedness, environmental planning, and community growth. It convenes public agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and academic institutions to address regional challenges and coordinate long-term strategies. Through initiatives focused on sea-level rise, infrastructure, data analysis, and regional competitiveness, the council plays an important role in shaping the future of the multi-county Tampa Bay area.
