
The Preventing Alzheimer’s with Cognitive Training (PACT) study, led by researchers at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, has enrolled about 7,600 older adults across multiple states to test whether brain training can actually delay or reduce dementia risk. The approach used is prevention-focused, accessible, and focused on real-world application.
Big credit to the researchers and partners involved, including USF St. Petersburg and collaborating institutions, for sustaining and growing this work. Securing an additional $2.8 million from the National Institutes of Health (bringing total funding to over $50 million) is a strong signal that this work is nationally recognized and worth investing in.
