Blue Ring Imaging, a Hub tenant, showcased its latest underwater 3D visualization.

The future tenants of the Innovation District's Maritime Defense and Technology Hub were introduced to the community during a soft opening on December 15.

After months of planning and negotiations, a five-year license agreement has officially been approved between the city and the St. Pete Innovation District to bring a much-anticipated Maritime and Defense Technology Hub.

"We are thrilled to relocate our corporate headquarters to St. Petersburg, Florida, as we believe the Tampa Bay region's talent, innovative spirit, and quality of life will accelerate our growth initiatives," stated Cathie Wood, ARK's Founder, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer in their recent press release.

The co-working entrepreneurial center, Tampa Bay Innovation Center (TBIC) recently announced its fourth cohort of the TBIC Accelerator Program.

The Innovation District hosted a special event on September 24, 2019 to showcase these individuals and their stories. There was a series of eight fast-paced, brief presentations.

The Trump administration on Monday awarded Pinellas County $7.5 million to help build the planned $12 million Tampa Bay Innovation Center Incubator just south of downtown.

With a remarkable focus on business development, St. Pete, Florida is becoming a hotspot for startups and small businesses.
