A talent pipeline of individuals educated in STEAM fields is critical for the SPID and the region. Workers in these fields are experiencing greater job growth with higher average salaries.
Research funding at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus was over $20 million for the 2019-2020 academic year. That is a significant increase over the 2018-2019 funding of $7.2 million. (From the March 2021 SPID newsletter)
