At the top of the University of South Florida’s wish list this year for capital funds from the Florida Legislature is a request that leaders across the region say could boost St. Petersburg’s stature as a marine science hub.
Research funding at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus was over $20 million for the 2019-2020 academic year. That is a significant increase over the 2018-2019 funding of $7.2 million. (From the March 2021 SPID newsletter)
